Hello! I’m Maiko Shirakawa, a UI/UX designer from the western region of Japan, currently living in Vancouver, Canada. I enjoy creating intuitive and user-centered digital experiences.
Before I started my journey into UI/UX, I was dedicated to working in the customer service industry for over 8 years. My experience working in fast-paced environments like Narita International Airport, and Walt Disney World taught me how to remain calm under pressure, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality service.
I transitioned into the UI/UX field after supporting the launch of an e-commerce site. Working with creative professionals inspired me to explore design on my own. That’s when I discovered UI/UX and realized I wanted to create smooth, user-friendly experiences by combining design with my customer service background.
I aspire to focus on projects that solve complex problems with simple, efficient design solutions.
